Let's say it is is sync for this example.ģ)Record third track- out of sync. The problem is it happens "inconsistently".Ģ)Record second track- might be in sync might not. If the problem persists, can you describe it a bit more, or even upload a project that illustrates? Does "out of sync" mean consistently ahead of or behind the beat? I used Revo Uninstaller to completely remove everything both times and re-installed.

I have already done that twice with the drivers and Reaper. The first thing I would suggest is resetting your Reaper configuration (Program Files => Reaper (reset configuration to factory defaults) to rule out any well-meaning but incorrect user settings. It may be in perfect sync or it may be a half a second behind. You record a track, then record a second track while playing along with the first, and on playing back both tracks, you hear that the two tracks do not seem to be in sync? Perhaps some of the guys here on this previous post can help you out :)

I really like the feature set Reaper has and its stability(other than the issue I am having) and would love to be able to use it for all of recording needs.īelkin Firewire card (model Alesis recommends) I am beginning to think it is the Alesis drivers, however I ran some tests in other software- Sony Acid 6, Sony Vegas 8 and the energyXT demo and did not have the issue.Īny insight or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I should also note that it doesn't matter whether I am using the iO26 by itself(no ADA8000 connected) or with the Behringer connected.

I even tried the ASIO4ALL drivers with the same results plus those drivers would not let me see the Behringer's inputs. I get the same results no matter what I try. I have tried checking and un-checking the "use drivers reported latency" and everything in between. I have read tons of posts on latency and have tried setting my own latency settings using the results from the centrance latency test software. When I am monitoring the tracks while I am recording I have the iO26's latency set to 128 samples and have no problems with delay and I am playing in time with the first track. I mute that track, insert another track and attempt another take, again it may be in sync. That track may be in sync with the first, maybe not. I first record a simple guitar track and when I try to record a second track along with it the outcome is unpredictable. I am using the latest version of Reaper and the latest drivers for the Alesis. I am trying to use Reaper with an Alesis iO26 and a Behringer ADA8000.

I have scoured these threads for a week and cannot find a single post that relates to the issue I am having.
